Well, our intrepid group - less Michele - took up Serenity Circle Quilts. Donna generously shared her time and knowledge with us in making blocks. This is the quilt we worked on:
It was really quite easy!
We started by stripping. 5" and 6" to be exact. Colors had to be complementary, but value had to be varied. Dark with light works much better than light with slightly darker light.
Then you sew one each of a matched size light and dark (2 5" strips for example) together. Not too difficult....
Then, using the secret template, you cut your shapes out...
There are pre-made templates or you can make your own (if you know the secret!)
Then you sew....
Put enough together and you get a really cool quilt!
Sew...that's what we were up to!
I admit, I only made one block.....but I think I want to do a bunch in batiks. Yea. Batiks. Pretttty....
