Boy, it was an interesting day today. Work was surprisingly busy, what with everyone else in Mt. Vernon at a hearing. I managed to keep busy and relatively out of trouble. Then I got off and called Karen on the cell. I was wearing my headset. This is important to know because I walked around Haggen in Ferndale with it on, just chatting away, ignoring all the people looking at me funny. Then I got up to the checkout (I went to the self-serve since the others were all busy) and scanned all my stuff. All along I was talking to Karen. Then the line went dead. I didn't hang up on you, Karen - really. Someone stole my phone! While I was talking on it! The nerve! I looked all over the area for it...around the checkstand, around the neighboring checkstands....my friend Connie Faria (who is running for City Council - GO CONNIE!) was behind me, and when I told her what I was going, she called my phone. 5 TIMES! Now, you should know I keep my phone on Obnoxiously Loud setting so I can hear it when it rings inside my purse, inside my file cabinet...so we couldn't possibly miss it! Needless to say, I was totally bummed out and just plain upset. I've never had anything stolen like that before! So, I went home, called Verizon immedidately and reported it stolen. They suspended my account right away. Awesome service from them, by the way. In the meantime, Donna, who was babysitting Olivia, cooked dinner for me. Bless her heart! When we finished eating, the phone rang. It was Kelly at Haggen - someone had just turned my phone in! Apparently I took all the fun out of stealing the phone when they couldn't download stuff on it! Sooooo...we trekked back to Haggen and picked it up. Ahhhhh....I feel much better now. And I'm gonna buy a purse with a zipper!
So, after our adventure, we got down to business. Here are the attendees of Scrappy Auntie's Thursday Night Sewing....
It seems the Blogger won't let me upload photos again. Well, as soon as I can get it to cooperate, I"ll post em!
Happy Friday!

Oh my God! How obnoxious is that?? Glad you got it back and aren't you glad now that you have basic service and nothing worth stealing?
Love ya,
